OH, HAPPY DAY !

Chester is getting SO big !  What a fun pig he is !   He thinks he's a dog.  He just runs and plays and loves to get his belly rubbed.

I love our little flock of  !  Leghorns and I don't know what else.  We also got  bantams.   I'm new to chickens , but I am absolutely in love with them.  We still have some work to do on the coop, but, I know they are happy little chickens !  Can't wait until it's time to let them outside !

Farmhouse Fresh

Well, Hello There !   I know it's been a very long time since my last post here on my Fine Farmhouse .  I've been as busy as can be - just seems I haven't been doing much fitting for this blog lately. But , with springs arrival - I am freshly inspired !   Seems during the fall and winter - I was more in pure primitive mode - now , I am into more FARM FRESH goods - what this blog is more about !  

 My newest sachets - An awesome fragrance of sweet iced tea !   I just love these old graphics and never tire of using them.

Just stopping to say Hello.

Hello There !

Aren't you looking forward to spring ?   It's only 47 days away !   I just wanted to take a minute and wish you all a lovely day.    I plan on taking Thursday off to do some much needed cleaning..... A little early for spring cleaning, but, It's way overdue. I"ll be back out to the farm with Chester the piggy this weekend, and hope to get some good pictures .   Poor piggy.... he went to the Dr. today to get neutered... so, he's really not up for a photo shoot anyway  :)

My Little Nest

Happy Day to you !  As promised... I have a few photos to share of my "little nest" today.  Just a few shots in my living area.  Come on in and take a gander....

I truly enjoyed each and every one of the comments that some of you have left me...some of you asked .... apartment ???   YES....  I made a few big changes in my life recently - I've mentioned in a few past posts ... While I no longer live in a farmhouse - I'm keeping the name for my blog.... It's still fitting for me, and it's so well established now, I hated to change the name. You still get a farmhouse "feel" with all my favorite primitive things around this little place.  I'm such a happy gal, now....   Life is good !!!   

 I'm showing you just little snippets here and there..... I'm in the process of redoing my t.v - area... I'll show you a before and after of that in the near future.  And my couch, I'm redoing to, so that's for future bloggin' .  

I love the fresh feel of this place.  Although, I'm not crazy about the carpet, It is cozy.( Would love hardwood floors though. ) .... All the rustic and wood against the buttermilk colored wall.... I adore !

Inspired , again !

Had lunch today with a dear friend.  It was so good to see her, it'd been awhile.  She is a true primitive lover like me.  We got to talking about antiquing and primitives and I got that flip-flopping in my belly that I hadn't had in a very long time. ( at least not for decorating :-)..... Well,  I have been enjoying fixing up my sweet little apartment, but, haven't really been moved to REALLY decorate since I moved in.  I've been having so much fun just doing other things, hadn't had much time for it. I guess since the weather has turned off cold - that has kept me inside a bit more and I really do have the decorating bug again !  I should say, the PRIMITIVE bug again !   While I have always created folk art and I sell primitives, it grew old to me for just awhile, and thought I wanted to go a little more modern country - my desire for EARLY has really got me going.  Not really a good thing, as my pocketbook can't really handle that, nor do I really have room for much more in my humble little abode.  BUT, It will be fun to get out and start shopping again for a few early treasures.  

 As I look around this place,  I do have alot of early things out,  I just don't have things arranged just right yet.  I'll be playing with that over the coming days/weeks and will share pictures with you as I go along.  These pics that I am showing you today are just some old pics from my past -  They inspire me.

 I do love the lightness and brightness of my apartment.... The buttermilk colored walls really make what treasures I do have stand out.   You get a nice and fresh feeling when you spend time here.

 Fresh , light walls, mixed with early , rustic primitives...... It's a beautiful Thing !!!

As I began this post, I realized that It's been since mid November that I've blogged.  WAY too long !
I am inspired again to share more with you on a more regular basis.

November Days

Happy Thanksgiving week, Everyone !    I  have SO MUCH to be Thankful for in my life !  These days, I'm feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.  I am truly blessed .  Just to be here on this earth, to be alive , to breathe in, and enjoy such beauty in this world !   I had the opportunity to get out and play over the past few days. What a joy it was - to spend some beautiful days at my best friends farm.
 Quiet, peaceful, country days.
 I took my camera along.........

The farm is like a little piece of heaven.  I simply love it there !

There is an old cemetery there.  Over the years, it was trampled by cows when they had them.  We uncovered a few old stones.   This will be a new project that we'll get into this winter.... I look forward to cleaning this graveyard up and bring it back to how it should be.  Should be very interesting.

My favorite way to spend an evening.  Bonfire !  We had 2 !  :-)

Do you see what I see ?   Take a look at the reflection at the waters edge.   There was a Momma deer and 2 young ones out playing by the pond.  What a joy to see !

And, then came the turkey.  We saw around 20 that morning.
