Peaceful Things....

So.....Did you have a nice weekend ? Mine has been quite splendid ! As it was great to see so many sweet faces in our store ... Old friends AND new ! I just love it ! Today, has been all about me catching up on things that I've wanted to do for awhile.... little things such as get this blog going. Today, I am simply sharing with you a few pics of my favorite things around the house. I have some small projects for the house coming up..... I will share with you in the near future. My time is very limited for my house projects... BUT - it is decorating that excites me - SO , indeed... I must make time for that !

Old cow pull toy.... I truly love the fact that he is almost in ruins.... still very endearing to me.

I have pared down my collections to those items that are natural , neutral, and authentic.
What a sweet old book.... Perfect to set among my gardeny things

Old clay marbles in aged ironstone platters

Chalkware and beeswax lambs

I have a full plate of work coming up this week.... Still orders to finish...that will be such a huge relief for me..... And I am planning
on a website update sometime midweek... featuring some wonderful old vintage items and a small sampling of some new "FArmHouse" Goods will be for sale. You'll get an email about that a day or so in advance. If you aren't on my email list for those notices.... just drop me a note at druann@bellsouth.net . I have been thinking on other things to do for Cinnamon Creek..... I have every intention of making my website a little more active.... with more info and inspirations.... Hopefully I can figure out how to make time to do it all ! Have a most wonderful week ...... Take care...........Dru

Not there yet.....

Hi there ! I am slowly, but surely getting my mindset on how I want this blog to be. I have decided that this blog will be more about my decorating adventures - as I re-invent my style into a simpler , more peaceful me.....I've decided that I like the simple white background...as it is a clean and uncluttered slate for the photos and words that I will be sharing. ( Much like my house is right now ) It may take a week or so for me to get this right.... and then, hopefully - I will have it all set up and ready to do some serious decorating !
As for now- Enjoy the summer breezes and you'll be hearing from me again soon.......Dru

re-designing and more re-designing

Hi there ! I am slowly, but surely getting my mindset on how I want this blog to be. As for now- Enjoy the music as I work on these technical difficulties :-) Go forth - and make the day good ! Do something fun ! Take Care, Dru

It's been awhile....

It's been a while..... It still just amazes me how fast time flies. It troubles me, really....As I just can't keep up with it all these days. Besides working on WAY overdue orders. ( I'm sorry for the delay - if you are still waiting - I've had issues- but, am working on them) AND I've been focused on spreading the word here , in my neck of the woods about our store. I am SO very lucky to have such a wonderful home, workshop/studio, AND Log cabin....all on one piece of land...... although...we certainly do live
off the beaten path. It's funny.....most of our customers who come to the store.... live at least an hour away. Yet... most come from all over the country to shop our tiny little store. The local folks around here...just don't seem interested in this type of thing. I am trying to change that - and offer more of a variety of things. Yet, keeping the look a very vintage style. It has made for a very fun and interesting place to visit. I hope to continue to add more and more each weekend. My favorite motto for our store ..... " A most Uncommon Place to shop " And it truly is....at least in our region of Kentucky. Here are a few pictures of what the store looks like right now....as we prepare for this Saturday's Open House.
Freshly, Flipped Store.... Full of Fun, Vintage Finds and Handmades !
Just one example of my Re-invented chairs that I'm into these days.
Patriotic Items...
Re-purposed lighting.... So many ideas.... so little time !
It's always a pleasure to have folks walk through the cabin doors. My Dear Hubby , Michael.... built this place for me - along with a friend.... so that I could have my dream cabin and store.....
So, come on over ! Enjoy it with me...and shop through some incredible things ! Have a most wonderful day ! Dru
