Wonderful Weekend....

My goodness...what a wonderful weekend I've had !    Started off Friday with a great day of completing my goods for sale , posting them, and was delighted with the response I got on my new line of Uncommon Kinfolk Dolls.  I am truly enjoying making these new ladies.

I"m also very proud to offer a great line of Goatsmilk soaps.   I"m selling them in sets as shown in the pic. below . Comes in an old berry carton with aged towel, old bottle with label, straw and the soap.... 15.00 for a lovely set of Honey Oatmeal or Citrus Spice.  I also offer the individual bars

Saturday was spent with a friend, went out to breakfast, then antiquing and just had tons of fun. 

I'm thinking of opening a Cinnamon Creek booth at one of our local antique malls.  Simply trying to figure out if I can fill one up.  Sounds like fun to me !  More antiquing on Sunday at the coolest place... called Paradise Point.  It's a very fun, retro kind of place - offering THE yummiest breakfasts... Quiches, Frittatas, Stratas.   SO good !  Lots of fun stuff to shop through too !  I found a few wonderful goodies :-)  The owners are just the best - very fun folks !  I'll have to take my camera next time and show it all to you.

A Peaceful Friday

     The rain has been falling all day.... it's a beautiful thing !  My morning started out so perfect and it has continued to be such a glorious day.  Nice and peaceful.  I've been listening to a lot of different music today.  Truly love pandora - My mood was set for Fiona Apple style music, so I created such a station. Not only do I hear some Fiona songs I haven't heard, lots of Amy Winehouse , whom I love. There is so many great music artists out there that I have not heard before. Sia, Portishead, Thievery Corporation.  Lounge music they call it - perfect for a quiet rainy day while I spend my hours away doing a little decorating and also sketching some new designs.

    Thought I'd share with you just a few pictures around my bedroom.   It's such a lovely room, large and light.  Just had my wonderful new headboard delivered yesterday and I still need to make a dust ruffle for the bed, plus I need curtains.  I will show it all off to you once I'm finished.

Starting Over ...

Happy Tuesday !  A most welcomed rain is falling outside !  A perfect morning for me to work on a few new projects.  I have a couple of brand new ideas floating around in my head - I'm anxious to get started on creating !  Before I begin - I wanted to post a little update on what I have going on this week. .... I have recently made  some major and WONDERFUL changes in my life .  I am so very blessed !  I will most definitely share more of that with you in the coming months.    However, today, I would like to fill you in a little on my "Cinnamon Creek"

I will be having a nice batch of new offerings coming up on Wednesday night.  I truly appreciate all of you who shop my site and purchase my folk art.  You'll find some new bears and fun papery goods when I open that section up tomorrow. Fun stuff !

I've had a couple of minor mishaps lately with my online affairs & Facebook page - all stems from changing my email address awhile back - won't go into detail, but, I feel the need to start fresh.  First thing - about this blog.... since I no longer live in a farmhouse, I am changing the name.... as you see, I am now named....  Uncommon. Have you ever heard the song by Jewel ? Life Uncommon ?  Beautiful song, and I do feel that I live a life uncommon.  All my life I have strived to be different in all I do.  Just wanna be ME !  Okay, back to the subject........ ha ! .......  of course with the new name, has to come a whole new blog page, as I can't seem to find a way to transfer it all over... the new address for the blog will be anuncommonlife.blogspot.com.  Will be changing that over probably by the end of the week.   I have 897 followers on this page.... I hope to get you all back :-) on the new one.

Another little thing - I lost control of my original Cinnamon Creek Facebook Page.  So, last night, I started a new one.   2615 "likes" on the old one...I'd love to get everybody back.  That's where I tried to keep everyone in the know of when I was having updates on the site plus I want to start doing more fun little tidbits and sharing on there.  SO....PLEASE see the badge to the right of the screen here - to "Like" the new Cinnamon Creek Facebook Page.

ch-ch-ch changes....

Happy Independence Day everybody !   I wanted to drop a line to let you know that I"m working on changes to this blogpage.   In just another day or two it will be changed to a whole new name and

address.   My blog will now be called...... UNCOMMON.  or perhaps, life. uncommon ( still haven't worked it all out just yet )  the web address will be.....

anuncommonlife.blogspot.com   .  Lots of new things in store for the rest of the year... Please make a note of this, as after this change, the fine farmhouse page will no longer come up for you.  I tend to make a lot of mistakes as I still learn this blog world....
